Domestic Violence Arrest

On Friday, November 1st, 2024 a warrant of arrest was issued for Dakota Ashton Slusher, 35, of Union Grove for the charges of Domestic Violence- Assault- Strangulation or Suffocation and Domestic Violence- Menacing- Gun. These charges stemmed from an incident that occurred the day prior, with Mr. Slusher fleeing the scene.

After a 5 hour search for Mr. Slusher, he was located and taken into custody at a residence in Cullman County, within the city limits of Arab. Assisting Marshall County Sheriff's Office Investigations Division in the apprehension included: Guntersville Police Department Criminal Investigations Division, Marshall County Drug Task Force, Cullman County Sheriff's Office, and Arab Police Department. The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is very thankful and appreciative of the assistance provided by these agencies.

Mr. Slusher was booked into the Marshall County jail with no bond pending an initial hearing before a judge.
