Electronic Solicitation of a Child Arrest

On August 7th, 2024, Marshall County Investigators were contacted by a neighboring agency in reference to a report of a sex crime involving a juvenile that occurred in Marshall County.

Earlier today, August 13th 2024, the Marshall County Criminal Investigations Division conducted a search and seizure of electronic devices. After a subsequent interview with the alleged offender, an arrest warrant was obtained.

Adam Wayne Atchley, 37, of Grant, AL, was taken into custody at the Marshall County Sheriff's Office on one (1) count of Electronic Solicitation of a Child and one (1) count of Transmitting Obscene Material to a Child. His bond has been set at $40,000.00.
